EL PASO, Texas – The City of El Paso has earned a spot on the 2022 National Government Experience Awards list, recognizing communities that radically improve the government service experience.
The city of El Paso, which placed second, was one of five winners to receive the Overall City Government Experience Award at this month’s govX Virtual Summit.
El Paso was recognized for its work in redesigning and launching its city website, creating a more seamless and user-friendly interface, and capturing information that can be used to support the city’s strategic planning processes.
The new website redesign, which kicked off in July, was led by the User Experience (UX) department of the city’s Department of Information Technology Services. The project aimed to revamp and rebuild the website with a user-centric approach.
“The project aimed to improve our residents’ experience and the way they use our services,” said Araceli Guerra, managing director of Support Services. “The UX team has also worked to ensure we are compliant and fair when redesigning our website.”
