The CEN-TEC network and nine centers that make it up were present at the tenth edition of Expotrónica, the fair that brings together companies, government agencies and study centers to show the potential of Argentina’s technology sector. For this occasion, the fair took place on September 15th and 16th at the Cordoba Fairgrounds under the organization of the Chamber of Computers, Electronics and Components Industry of Central Argentina (Ciiecca).
The stand of the CEN-TEC network was visited by around 5,000 visitors, who were able to find out about the technological services for innovation of the centers it contains. In order to promote linkage and interaction with sectors related to their activity or value chain, representatives of the centers also had space to explain more details about the technological solutions they can offer companies and institutions of the technological science system if they do so require.
The participating centers were: LA.TE. ANDES SA, the SMT Technological Center – CIIECCA, the Arteaga Technological Center, the CenTec Rafaela, the Metallurgical Technological Center (CETEM), the ADIMRA Industrial Services Center, the CEN-TEC Tierra del Fuego, the Argentine Nanotechnology Foundation (FAN) and the Agro-industrial experimental station Obispo Colombres.
On the first day of the fair, the Secretary of State for Science, Technology and Innovation Policy of the MINCyT, Cecilia Sleiman, and the Minister of Science and Technology of Cordoba, Pablo de Chiara, signed the declaration of accession for the Center of Excellence in Products and Processes from Cordoba (CEPROCOR) to enter to the CEN-TEC network. Since it was founded, there are now 16 technology centers that form the network.
As part of the trade fair activities, the Ministry of Science and the R&D agency gave a joint presentation. Sleiman, gave a presentation on the CEN-TEC network and the policy that the Ministry is promoting for the productive sector in general and for the Central Region area in particular through the National Plan for Science, Technology and Innovation 2030 The Director of FONTAR, Alejandro Primbas, presented the financing instruments for SMEs and cooperatives that the fund has, as well as the actions that will be carried out this year in terms of awareness of new technologies and articulation for the co-financing of projects with state governments and networking and promotion of innovative ones SMEs.

It is a space for the articulation and promotion of the activities carried out by Argentina’s development centers and technological services. With a federal spirit, this initiative represents a comprehensive platform aimed at complementing the activities of the centers, strengthening their connection and technology transfer. It also promotes a wider dissemination of the services offered by the centers to improve the productivity and efficiency of the productive sectors and regions they serve.
